Expect Jump in Pheasant Population

Iowa DNR says the state's pheasant population's expected to jump by over 40%. Department officials say the wild winter and warm spring are the reason. A department spokesperson says it's the best match up of winter and spring weather seen for the ground nesting birds since 2003. Similar weather in the last 50-years yeas raised the pheasant population by as much as 42%.
