Legislature Blames for State Not Getting No Child Left Behind Waiver

State Education Director Jason Glass says the legislature the reason Iowa didn't gets a waiver from the federal No Child Left Behind. According to KCCI, the education bill didn't give his department the power to develop and implement evaluation and support systems to meet the waiver requirements. Gov. Branstad says lawmakers didn't update teacher evaluations and instead left it to a task force to review and propose changes.
