Des Moines City Council tonight is expected to extend the temporary ban on issuing new permits for stores to sell hard liquor. The City is trying to come up with a [plan to handle the increase in the number of businesses, now including larger stores-like CVS and Walgreens, that have applied for liquor sales permits. The extention would last until August 28th.
