Bridgestone Americas is expanding its tire factory in Des Moines. The company plans to spend $74 million more through next year, and that's on top of its 77-million-dollar project at the local plant, which was announced in March of 2010. Bridgestone did not say whether the new plant will bring new jobs. The plant has already added 250 workers in the last two years. Officials say Bridgestone has not applied for assistance with its latest expansion plan.
