Iowa schools have a new tool in their arsenal to fight bullying in schools - the Department of Education launched a new database over the weekend.
Up until now, the state has had only one yearly set of reports to look at to try to get a handle on bullying. Now, thanks to the state anti-bullying and anti-harassment law from 2007, the state has moved into the computer age.
Bullying has become more of a problem all over the country in recent years and this technology will help to get a better handle on the situation in Iowa schools.
