Wasendorf Plea Expected Monday

A federal magistrate says he'll release ex Peregrine Financial Group founder Russ Wasendorf, Sr. Monday, after he pleads guilty to bank fraud, embezzling customer funds and lying to regulators. KCCI reports the plea's part of a deal to resolve charges in the collapse of the company and the loss of $200-million in customer funds. Prosecutors want Wasendorf to stay behind bars until sentencing, and plan to appeal if Wasendorf's released.
