Iowa National Guard F-16's may be more noticeable over the Des Moines area for the next few weeks because of construction at the city's airport. The work's forced the fighter jets to use a different runway, meaning the F-16's could be flying lower and be louder over the south side near the airport. The airport upgrade work should be done next month.
