Just three years after opening its doors, the Big Brothers Big Sisters office in Ames is closing.
The decision came as a shock to those who are part of the program.
The Ames office is an affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa, so matches will be served through the Des Moines office.
Office supplies and files are being boxed up to send to Des Moines at the Ames office early next week.
