As expected, ex-Peregrine Financial Group CEO Russ Wasendorf Sr. pleaded guilty in federal court in Cedar Rapids today to mail fraud, embezzlement, and making false statements to regulators in a 20-year fraud that duped investors out of $200-million. Prosecutors are recommending a minimum 24 years in prison term.
