Medicine Burns

Some products meant to ease pain may be causing pain of their own -In some rare cases over-the-counter muscle and joint pain relievers may cause chemical burns. U.S. health regulators are warning that products that contain menthol, methyl salicylate, or capsaicin were found to cause first- to third-degree burns. Second- and third-degree burns occurred with the use of products that had menthol as the single active ingredient.
