Public Schools Share Grant for New School Meal Guidelines

Iowa public schools will be sharing a $348,000 USDA grant designed to help schools adapt to the new food guidelines that require more fruits and vegetables. It'll help to pay for teaching food service personnel learn new cooking techniques, menu planning, and help with nutrition education for children, parents, teachers and caregivers. Nationwide 32-million children have daily subsidized school meals.
