A Polk County judge's refused to toss the lawsuit challenging Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz's new voting rules. He claimed the plaintiffs, including the ACLU didn't have legal standing to block the rules, imposed on an emergency basis. Judge Mary Gunderson disagreed, finding Schultz's actions, in secret and on that emergency basis, were ‘inconsistent with the democratic process.”
