Central Iowans in need of psychiatric care will soon stop hearing--no beds available. The Des Moines Register reports the city's two main hospital firms are going to improve or expand psychiatric services, and the county's public hospital hopes to be able to do the same. Lutheran Hospital's adding 12 beds to their 40-bed unit, and Mercy Medical's moving its unit downtown, so there'll be 32-available beds more often.
