The national headquarters of Sigma Alpha Epsilon has ordered its chapter at the U of I closed down because of hazing. The Des Moines Register reports the 107-year old Beta Chapter at U of I has had its charter suspended and its members expelled for failing to comply with its government laws. Last week, SAE suspended several members of its Gamma Chapter at Iowa State for unspecified violations.
