Even though summer is winding down that doesn't mean the West Nile virus is. There've been more than 400 new cases in the last week. The second worst outbreak in history is starting to show signs of slowing down. Thirty eight percent of the cases have been reported in Texas - other states with large number cases include Mississippi, Michigan, South Dakota, Louisiana, Oklahoma and California.
