28-year old Justin Pollard, an U.S. Army reservist acquitted last year for allegedly running over and killing Annamarie Rittman in a Lowe's parking lot in 2005, is suing the city of Altoona, the police chief, an officer, and others in federal court. The suit claims there was no probable cause for police to believe he committed the crime. The Des Moines Register reports there were no fibers, human tissue or DNA linking Pollard's truck to Rittman in the original investigation.
