The U-S Small Business Administration and the American Red Cross have teamed up to educate the public about the need for having a disaster recovery plan. The need seems particularly acute after extensive flooding in the Midwest. Studies show that 15-to-40 percent of businesses fail following disasters because they did not have recovery plans in place.
