Specialty Pet Food Stolen form DSM Shelter

Thousands of dollars of prescription dog and cat food has been stoeln from a Des Moines animal shelter. Police said thieves broke off a padlock on a shed at the Animal Lifeline of Iowa and took everything inside. Now the building, whcih was packed to the roof with supplies and food, has a couple of pallets of fod remaining -- and that's only because it's been shipped insince the burglary Monday night. The shelter is working to replace the seven kinds of prescription foods that were stolen as soon as possible. They're out about $16-hundred for the food that was stoeln, and are looking for donations to replace it.
