The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority's holding a series of public meetings this week on proposals for major changes in its routes and long term plans including light rail for the Des Moines Metro. KCCI reports the plan includes suburban circulators in West Des Moines and Ankeny, high-frequency service along University and Ingersoll avenues between downtown and 42nd Street, and more service between major retail centers.
