State officials are confirming more layoffs. Two out-of-state auditors were let go yesterday along with two internal auditors at the state Revenue department. A spokesperson tells KCCI this was to cut redundancy; since internal audits are now handled by the State Auditor's Office, as well as the IRS. The E-File Department's help desk has also laid off, due to fewer requests for support from the public.
