A garage fire in Urbandale had firefighters battling flames and the hot weather, Saturday. Firefighters were called at around 4:00 pm Saturday to a home on 68th Street. When they arrived, the home's attached garage was on fire, but they were able to put it out without major damage to the home. No one was injured and the cause is still under investigation. In this heat, firefighters rotate in and out of active firefighting more often, and take frequent breaks to ensure they aren't getting too hot.
