Alligator Removed from Des Moines Home

You don't see this in Des Moines every day-a 2-foot long alligator impounded yesterday by the Animal Rescue League and city police. The Des Moines Register reports someone notified authorities that the gator was in a home, along with an infant and a dog, in the 3300 block of Bowdoin Street. The alligator was in a tank in the living room. Colby Ryan, cited for possession of the animal, had nothing to say about where it came from
