$500,000 worth of equipment stolen in a break-in at KIMT-TV's tower site, in Mason City, has been recovered by authorities.
The burglary took place, earlier this year, at the station's tower near St. Ansgar in Mitchell County. KIMT reported in February that copper and other equipment had disappeared from the site.
The Mitchell County Sheriff's Office and the Mower County sheriff's office in Minnesota searched two homes in southern Minnesota on Thursday and , according to Mitchell County Sheriff Curt Younker, the items stolen from KIMT were recovered. Two people were taken into custody by Minnesota officials.
The investigation is still underway and charges are pending.
