Wind Energy Tax Credit Passes Senate

The Iowa Senate's passed and sent to the house a bill expanding the state's wind energy tax credit. The Des Moines Register reports the bill adds about 100 megawatts of newly developed wind energy eligible for a tax credit. The credit would be open to new projects coming on line between 2015 and 2019. Current incentives make Iowa the second-highest wind energy generator in the U.S.
