Ashley Oakland Memorial on Monday

It will be one year ago, tomorrow, that real estate agent Ashley Okland was shot and killed, while she was showing a townhome in West Des Moines and so far, her case still remains unsolved.
Realtors are gathering to hold a memorial service for her on Monday at Hope Lutheran Church in West Des Moines. During the memorial, there will be a discussion about realtor safety and a safety course called A-OK, developed by Tim Meline, of Iowa Realty, in honor of Ashley Okland.
Thanks to Real estate agents and other private donors, the reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in Oakland's case is now $150,000, which is a Polk County Crime Stopper's record.
According to Police, the case is not cold and they are still following up on leads and hope to make an arrest one day. Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (515) 223-1400.
