Lawmakers May Be Closing In On Educartion Reform Compromise

State House Republicans and Senate Democrats appear to be narrowing the differences between their positions on education reform. The Des Moines Register reports House leaders put a plan on the table responding to a Senate K-12 plan passed last week. It drops some things already rejected by senators. They hope to get it through the house in the next day or so, then to a House/Senate conference committee to work out a final bill.
