Silver Carp Caught in Northern Iowa Lakes

A commercial fishing company caught dozes of Silver Carp in East Okoboji Lake and one in Spirit Lake in the last month and a half, but state DNR says there probably won't be a lot more of them since they prefer to spawn in large rivers. KCCI reports last years Missouri River flooding allowed the fish to get past barriers. According to KCCI, Silver carp, which can hit 50 pounds, leap out of the water and they've hurt boaters.
