Council Bluffs Police say the mother and son found dead near Lake Manawa was a murder-suicide. KETV reports their remains were found my the Missouri river south of the lake. Detectives say 41-year old Charlotte Schilling used a zip tie to strangle her son then used one to kill herself. The two had been missing since May 10th. Police say she tried to kill herself the same way in November.
