Matthew Elliott showed no emotion when a Polk County judge sentenced him this morning to 60-years in prison for causing the death of 7-month old Alexis Gilbert in 2008. A jury convicted the 31-year old on child endangerment causing death and willful injury causing serious injury. Prosecutors alleged Elliott fractured the child's skull when he slammed her head against the floor of a West Des Moines home.
