An arrest in the fatal August shooting on the west edge of Des Moines. Police say the nearly 3-month investigation in the shooting of Charles Freeborn has led them to 28-year-old Richard Joseph Polak of Nebraska. Freeborn was visiting a woman on the 600 block of West 62nd street just after midnight on August 4th when shots were fired into the house. At the time, Des Moines police didn't thing it was a random shooting.
