Grimes may say yes to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility. The Des Moines Register reports officials are looking at leasing a 16,000 square foot space at 3100 S.E. Enterprise Drive as a replacement for an overcrowded facility in downtown Des Moines. Des Moines, West Des Moines, Clive, and Urbandale have all turned down a facility. Grimes Planning and Zoning Commission has already approved the plan and City Council approval's expected this evening.
