Opening statements in a Fort Dodge court room today in the murder trial of Tracey Richter. Richter is charged with the killing of 20-year old neighbor Dustin Wehde in 2001. Richter claims Wehde and another man broke into her Early home and assaulted her, resulting in her killing Wehde in self-defense and the defense of her three children. Prosecutors say evidence uncovered in 2008 will prove it wasn't self-defense, and that Richter committed the crime to frame her ex-husband.
