The former director of the Iowa Film Office will be sentenced today for misconduct in office. Tom Wheeler is expected to get five years when he's sentenced today in Polk County court. Wheeler was found guilty of the misconduct charge only, and not guilty on eight other counts of fraud and conspiracy. Prosecutors claimed that Wheeler was an insider for the Iowa film industry, but the defense claimed Wheeler just didn't know what he was doing.
