Central Des Moines’ long wait for a grocery store could be over. According to ther Des Moines Register, The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, Des Moines Area Community College and CDT Investments LLC submitted a $1.2-million bid for the empty Top Values property on University Avenue. The group's plan for the site includes a new grocery store and a work force training center. City Council's expected to vote on the offer Monday.
