Police Say Cell Phone Had Part in Deadly Crash

The Iowa State Patrol says the driver of a car that ended up in a Southern Iowa farm pond earlier this month, was trying to make a call on his cell phone just before the accident. The Patrol tells KCCI 26-year old Hoyt Reynolds went through a stop sign October 11th, his car went airborne and landed in the pond. 24-year-old Thomas Walljasper, a passenger in the car, died in the accident.
