The text didn't say "your house is on fire", but because teens these days sleep with the cell phone close by, it was a text that saved a Cushing family from a house fire. Seems Katrina Slater was awakened when she got a text message, saw the fire out her bedroom window and got everybody out safely. Fire investigators said the fire probably started in electrical wiring on the porch, and then the fire spread.
