A woman who played a big part in develop Des Moines' Gray's Lake Park and building the arts community in Des Moines has died. Friends say Elizabeth Kruidenier(Cry-dun-ear) passed away at her home this morning. She was 85. Elizabeth, a lawyer and her late husband, David, not only helped fund the Gray's Lake walking trail, but also the new downtown library as well as the Blank Park Zoo, Science Center of Iowa and the Iowa Hall of Pride.
