Iowa's Transportation Department says the Alice's Road extension in Waukee-West Des Moines, is getting a $5-million grant. KCCI reports it's part of a bigger 1700 acre plan to develop the Alice's Road Corridor. The money's coming from The Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy. The Alice's Road extension will start as a three-lane road and eventually be expanded to six lanes. The total project cost is a little over $10-million.
