Field of Dreams Sells, to Remain Ballpark

The Field of Dreams has been sold, after a year and a half on the market. Don and Becky Lansing’s 193-acre Field of Dreams farm near Dyersville, Ia., was the site of filming for the 1989 Kevin Costner movie of the same name, and the couple often referred to the popular tourist attraction as their “child.” Its new owners plan to expand it into a rural youth baseball utopia. The baseball and softball complex is to be named “All-Star Ballpark Heaven.” Opening is slated for 2014.
