Iowa State's new president will start January 16th. Steve Leath was originally supposed to start Feb 1st, but KCCI reports he informed the university he could start 2-weeks earlier. The Iowa Board of Regents agreed yesterday. Leath's salary will be $440,000 a year and $225,000 in deferred compensation if he stays for three years. Leath comes to Iowa from the University of North Carolina.
