Carlisle's Girl Scout Troop 1322 have been busy raising money to buy 4 AED's for each building in the Carlisle Community School District, before the end of the year. They've raised $3100, and need $500 more. The Des Moines Register reports an AED's a portable device that can shock a heart back into normal rhythm. The American Heart Association says, CPR rescue's with an AED ups survival rates by as much as 49%.
