Coralville Traffic Stop Results In 1 Arrest And 2 Injured Officers...

A Cedar Rapids man was arrested, after police found marijuana and a loaded gun in a car.
According to Police, just before 2:00 am, on Saturday, they stopped a car in the 500 block of 1st Avenue in Coralville.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the finding of 19 individual bags of marijuana and a loaded handgun.
The passenger, 31-year-old Charlie Pitchford of Cedar Rapids attempted to flee, but police caught him and a fight broke out.
According to Police, during the fight a taser was used to subdue and arrest Pitchford and two officers were injured during the fight.
Pitchford has been charged with possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver and is currently in the Johnson County Jail.
27-year-old Caniya Barron, 29-year-old Crystal Turner and two other occupants of the car were both charged with interference with official acts.
