The state's put together a website listing resource numbers most people should have at their disposal outside of 911. KCCI reports the list includes 211 - For community referral services including food, shelters, support groups, 311 - Nonemergency police, fire and city government uses, 511 for travel info, 711 - A service for deaf, hard-of-hearing or speech-disabled telephone users and 811 - The "Call before You Dig" number to arrange for utilities location.
