A new survey of metro area nonprofits shows individuals and corporations have upped their giving during a time when government's been cutting back. The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines survey did find the level of uncertainty over future financial support of non profits is up about 20 percentage points from similar surveys in 2009 and 2010, but a spokesperson says that's due to disappointment over the economy not rebounding last year.
