Family Escapes Fire in Cedar Rapids...

Friday night, a man and his wife, along their 5-year-old son and 6-year-old niece, escaped unharmed from a Cedar Rapids house fire that began in the home's garage.
According to Cedar Rapids fire officials, Chad Johnson was working on a van in the garage, when the fire started. Johnson escaped out a side door of the garage, then ran into the house to get his wife and the children. All escaped unharmed.
According to Fire officials, the fire damage was contained to the garage and part of the attic, but the house suffered heavy smoke damage.
