New Report Says Casino's Good for Iowa Economy

The state's casino industry generated $999-million for the state’s economy in 2011. The Des Moines Register reports a new Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission reports says most of the growth is tied to the new Grand Falls Casino in Lyon County. Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona had the biggest economic impact of any state-licensed gambling facility, generating $186 million, up from $160 million in 2010.
