The Argosy, a floating casino at Sioux City, must pay a $20,000 penalty for allowing someone under 21 to gamble.
The violation was discovered when a slot player hit a $3,600 jackpot on Oct. 8 and went to collect his winnings. When casino officials asked for his identification to process the payout, it was discovered he was underage.
According to Commission documents say the minor was not asked for his ID and played slot machines for two hours before he hit the jackpot.
