The state Board of Regents unanimously approved cutting 58 majors, minors and graduate programs at the UNI. The Des Moines Register says officials made some last minute changes, saving a BS in Physics, and cutting a BA in Physics; and keeping, but suspended minors in geography and theater education. Officials didn't say how much money the cuts would save, although the savings are expected to come from staff cuts.
