The progressive advocacy group Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement is planning a “statewide summit to confront corporate power” next month. The Des Moines Register reports the events April 14th, from 10a.m. to 4p.m. at the central branch of the Des Moines Public Library. Organizers say the event's intended to provide training for “direct action protests” at corporate meetings and bank locations nationwide.
