Medicaid Fraud Allegations Investigated at A New Beginning

The U.s. Attorney's office and the Iowa Medicaid Fraud Control Unit are looking into allegations that a charity, A New Beginning, may have committed Medicaid fraud. The Des Moines Register reports the Des Moines charity counsels troubled young people and their families. The paper also reports at least three other members of Executive Director Kenneth Cameron’s family have worked for the charity, and two of its counselors are currently on parole or probation.
